My parents have done something in there living room that i saw done on that HBO series true blood. That have one of those old fashioned big wooden box tv’s in there living room that has quit on them and they went out and got a nice flat screened lcd tv. They have left the old wooden box tx in the living room and are using it as a tv stand. Sookie’s brother on True Blood did the same thing. I think its meant to be a kind of hillbilly thing but I suspect there are lots of old tv’s like that all over being used as TV stands now.
