Its certainly a good time to have a healthcare career. It seems that health care is the only industry that does not suffer when the economy goes to crap. I once heard a very wise man say that the reason for this is because regardless of how much money people have to blow they will always get sick. I did read an article in the paper the other day saying that the health care industry has not been totally unaffected. Our local hospital is working to stream line its billing process by moving it out of the hospital and into a different facility. Three of the employees from that department are being moved somewhere else in the hospital. There not loosing there jobs though. I did also read in the article that people are now sicker when they come to the doctor because there waiting longer. I may be the opposite of this since the job I was forced to take when the economy went to crap provides me with excellent health care. I haven’t had decent health insurance in the last 9 years.
