I have never been able to fully understand the difference between term life insurance and typical life insurance. I’m pretty sure one of them can be cashed out and the other cannot when a person dies. I also know that the one that can be cashed out before the person dies or what ever also pays much less when the person dies. That’s about the limit of what I know about the two different types of life insurance. There may be another kind of life insurance but I am not aware of it.
